Fairy Makeup Empty
PostSubject: Fairy Makeup   Fairy Makeup EmptyThu Oct 23, 2008 4:08 pm

Hey girlies,
I'm being a fairy for halloween, got my costume and wings together but I'm kind of stuck as far as makeup and hair goes. I need some inspiration!
My friend's neighbor is having a Fairy themed party this Saturday so I need to whip something up pretty fast.
I'm being a forest fairy, so lots of browns, greens, and deep colored flowers (maroon, orange, yellow orche, etc).
Thanks so much you guys!

A bit of glitter along the tops of your cheekbones and maybe a dab at your temples is always such a fun effect for fairy makeup! Do you have a JoAnn fabric store nearby, or any kind of craft store with a floral section? I know for sure that JoAnn has fall-colored feathers on floral stems, and you could do your hair up and tuck one of those in as a decoration. It looks amazingly adorable.

Wow, Puff. That's very glittery and uh... glittery. I like it.
And Liz, I nearly bought out the entire floral department at Wal-Mart when I was gathering supplies. So I've got lots of stuff to put in my hair Smile
I made little deer antlers that I've glued to bobby pins to put in my hair.

That sounds so cute!

I can't help you too much, but why not try something like Shauna/Aelwyndaeira's (can't believe I spelt that right Razz) avatar? It's pretty woodsy. I did this on someone at school too... Didn't have nice green glitter though, which would have been very helpful.

Spoiler:

But something to that effect sounds like it would go well with your costume.

If you're on Specktra, check out this FOTD by Nireyna too, very fairy-ish... You could just adjust the colours. It's probably on YouTube, too.
