Puff is going to be [blank blank]

a geisha for Halloween.

I saw some kimonos at the boardwalk, which is how I got the idea. Sadly no wooden sandals or neat sock things so I'm effed on that end. But anyways!

K, here's the question:

I'm not sure if the drama director will let me into the schools makeup kit so I can use the white foundation/powder and the red blush [I used it as an eyeshadow once and LOVED it], so any recs for those? Also, I need a good red lipstick...not too bright, but not too dark, either. :]

For thw white, why not try that Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud's range? i've heard it's like, super white. =)

I don't have access to the Nicola line, but you're right, the stuff IS white - too white even for the whitest girls [I saw swatches once...yikes].

And I just got some Accent Red pigment in the mail today, do you think that could work on lips as well?

not sure about the pigment, no experience over here

buttt

id recommend lipfinity in 120 because
its really red but not trying too hard and it lasts for EVER
you can eat, drink, kiss...whatever that stuff stays on for ages!

its what im wearing in this pic... sorry i dont have a better one...but you can see it works well with pale skin

avon has a red lipliner, true red i think?
I use it as lipstick
Ruby Woo (MAC) is noice, i think it would work better cos it's more matte than Russian

dior has a really nice one too (apparently)

Look for a red lipstick from NYX,
for the red eyeliner you could go with a lip liner.
maybe check out some Milani stuff.

I don't have much to add (although for the white, if there's anywhere nearby that stocks Kryolan they do a good white that powders down well. Not an aquacolour, just a cream product), but that will be sweeet.

I could use green eyeshadow instead of blue - you know, school spirit and all that jazz. and if I opted not to wear a doll-like costume [most likely a foofy dress, long gloves, tights, and heels], I'd just wear a sweater dress with tights, sneakers, and gloves. how's that sound?

I dont think I'll end up making the cheeks that dramatic, but I like the idea of the lashes. I'll just get fake ones instead of drawing them on.
