| Okay, so I'm signing up for Cosmetology 1 and Makeup Artistry 1 on Monday (woohoo). I will be eligible for the Student Pro thingie. What I'm wondering is, what is the student kit available from MAC? How much is it? Is there an alternative? I already have a pro eyeshadow palette from Coastal Scents. Any suggestions? Ideas? HELP! | |

| Man, you guys are so lucky. Here we only get 10% off And it's like... $125 per year? Tbh, I would go for other brands above MAC for professional stuff (espec. foundations/concealers, which honestly don't stack up next to other brands). They're awesome for eyeshadow, though, obviously :D | |

| Depends, RCMA is really good, I've used Cinema Secrets once as well and that was nice too. One thing with RCMA: the skin has to be really well moisturised first or all the little dry bits will show up.
Ben Nye is good too, but they're super heavy... Good for theatre but quite heavy for anything else. At least RCMA is really easy to thin down and can look natural.
For concealer; can't go past Dermacolour by Kryolan. Best stuff ever. There is one concealer by MAC called... Moisturecover? I think, which is great for under eyes. Just get the lightest and darkest in NW and NC and mix it as you need it.

| Ew, Ben Nye is WAY too heavy for daily use. Your skin will absolutely hate you. Mandy used CC on a daily basis, so I think its would also be good to use.
And Kendra, $125 is way too much....what a rip.
