I didn't know if I should post this in the hair forum or here.
But I am looking for reviews on any products you guys may have tried.

I have never done it, but am looking for a good product or a place to buy.

I can't reccomend a certain product, but I can say that if you want to go more than a shade darker, use something else. I used it many times when I was younger and never saw all that much of a difference. Unless you have blond hair, mines a medium brown so yeah. I was also told by a hairdresser that they dislike henna because its hard to get any kind of hairdye to penetrate through it, so just be a little wary I guess.

LUSH sell henna in a few colours, and if you have a look on their forum there are a lot of before and after pics. Apparently if you keep doing it the result is more intense.

I have been thinking about trying their shampoo bars, so it would make sense to order both from the same place.

I used henna dye a couple years ago. I can't remember for the life of me the name of the brand, but the color came out nothing like the box said. And it made my hair all gross-feeling. Sorry, I'm not really much help.

Henna is horrible for your hair, and almost impossible to get out.
Infact my cosmetology book frowns upon using it on client's hair.
I recommend just buying a regular dye kit. :]
Hope that helps.

I thought henna was healthier for your hair Amanda?

Anyway, I tried it once and was half pleased with the result. It was supposed to be this red-brown like colour (mahagony?) but turned orange ...

It did stay for a very long time, my hair shined and felt very soft ...

About 5 weeks later I put on another colour (regular dye) and I got a perfect result ... so the henna didn't cause any trouble

Mmm ... what else? Ow yeah, it smells and it's like you have mud on your hair, and it leave stains everywhere...

It is cheap ...

I hope I was helpful ...
