| I was thoroughly disappointed reading this.
If I had a gift card or whatever, I'd happily buy NP - otherwise, I'll save my money.
Thoughts? Opinions?

| What happened? DUURR I'm dumb, I should've known there was a link! >< Woow... That's kindof... Dumb. "It has OUR name on it, so it has to be $50!" :-\ That's like the water company thing, where they package tap water, and then charge $1. Or the stupid "Bling" water, where it has swarovski crystals on the bottle, and costs $100... | |

| Yea they do that with their eyeshadows too, and probably the rest of the line. I doubt I would ever buy any of thier stuff. | |

| I'd buy the foundation simply for the formula, but not when its that overpriced, you know? If I can get the same thing at a cheaper price? Pssh. I'm buyin.
This sort of reminds me of the Specktra deal...some woman tried to tell people the KVD line was Sephora brand makeup so they shouldn't buy it - without seeing the stuff or swatching it in person herself. Dunno, just found it to be on the same wavelength.

| Yeah, Napoleon is pretty notorious for doing this sort of thing. It kind of irks me that they are a HUGE brand here and this is how they get their stuff. Dicks. | |

| ^^ that's exactly what I thought of, too; remembered how big NP is in NZ and Austrailia, and no matter how good the brand, its pointless when you know for sure its just a rip...just pointless. | |

| I'd just buy it from DermUs.
That's what most companies do....it's just bottled with their name on it. Same with a lot of food companies, too.

| Totally, in terms of their eye shadows, there is an Aussie brand called Chichi which has very similar colour payoff (not quite as good as MAC or MUFE) for $16 a pop instead of $30. Napoleon is just not worth it, man. | |

| That really doesn't suprise me. People will do anything to make money. It's all about competition, and making the most money in the end. Some women will spend more on make up thinking it's the "real deal" when the cheaper brand offers the same item for less. Some women also spend more on items because it's the "fashionable" thing to do. Trust me, I've seen it! The smart thing is buy the item that is cheaper in price, But not in quality. People truly disgust me! |

| Wow. So it just proves that we buy the name and not the benefits the product itself offers.
If the quality of the item is all the same, regardless of the brand name, I'm buying the cheaper one... and I could save up to half the price! |

| Yehh, it's like washing up liquid and stuff, in the uk at least, all washing up liquid is made in the same factory and then sent to different packaging plants and thats why all bog standard green washing up liquid is the same.
They do it with loads of household stuff.
but make-up? that seems really lame.

| Am I lame for never hearing of this brand, or any of the other ones named, for that matter? lol. This doesn't surprise me too much. The makeup industry knows that if you're not loyal to one brand...you're surely gonna be loyal to another. So that's why they own them all! |

| Unless you're a complete make up nerd or live in the Southern Hemisphere, it's not surprising you haven't heard of it, it's an Australian brand sold primarily in department stores (at least in NZ). | |

| I've seen those pics in a review on there before. Is La Femme sold in the US? I'd search it but since my computer's virused all I'd get is porn results. | |
