just a wee question, do any of you have experience with gouache?

ive learned to love acrylic when i disliked it and this is "designers gouache" so i wanted to try it out as im doing a design project and hopefully going to uni to do it (got a letter from the yesterdya (y) they've got my application).

soooo yeh...any wee bits of advice from my ladies would be lovely. i like experimenting.

Its basically just like arcylic to work with, but water-soluble, wich means you can achieve watercolour-like effects.
I must admit that I donĀ“t like them a whole lot, but I guess thats just personal.

yeah that, and its washable usually.
idk I don't use gouache very much cos i find it more liquidy, i don't like the consistency and it's not as versatile as acrylic.

cool thanks Smile

im just gonna play around with it. i like quite watery paint. i only really used water colour at school and stuff and then my A1 painting a few weeks ago was my first acrylic and I used it reasonably watered down so i'm kind of glad to hear that this is kind of like that.

sounds good to me.

I've never heard of gouache. Do I live in a box or something?

Oh, and how do you pronounce it?
