| So in my "Wearable Art" class, I'm planning on making a little cropped vest out of Froot Loops. I'm really excited. The assignment was to find one object that you could get multiple of, and find a way to join them to create an article of clothing (preferably for your upper body).
So... does anyone have any suggestions on how to join them? My teacher is having my polyurathane (sp?) first, so they don't break... but as of now I think I'll thread them together..? Anyone...?

| I think thread them together. You could use ribbon, and go like.. in, out (like what you do in a running stitch) | |

| I'm thinking the polyurethane is a good idea, and then maybe use wire to attach them---like wire loops or something. That would be more sturdy and give it more structure than string or thread.
Maybe kind of like froot loop chain maille, almost.

| Hmm.. I like the idea of wire, i just want to make sure that it's not too stiff and that it'll be able to fit to the body, if you know what i mean... but i'll experiment with some wire. | |

Just use really thin wire. Like jewelry wire or craft wire (you can find it in dollar stores). This is what I'm thinking: The coloured circles are froot loops, and the black are wire loops. Does that make more sense? Then you just do it vertically and horizontally until you make a vest with it.

| Mhm! I'll try that. It may be easier than threading them all together.. Thanks! | |
