| so this is what i did instead of sleeping today not bad for my first try eh?? heres a close up of the fabric they're little cherries! but yeah..i tried to draft my own pattern....that didnt work to welll....soo i ended up cannibalizing the boxers i made in 7th grade home ec..which i can still wear...well...not so much right now...but i will rebuild them i have the technology! but i altered the pattern from them and it worked out swimmingly theres elastic in the waist and around the legs...but i think im gonna swap the leg elastic for drawstring... they arent perfect but i like them in their absurd poofyness... ok....so im gonna take out the elastic around the leg cause its a bit to tight... which ribbon shoud i use?

| I'd go with the thinner ribbon.. I actually plan to make a long pair and have the cuffs drawstring with a thin ribbon, it'd be cute with the little bow off to the side..
And huzzah for no sleep! I'd say it was well worth it, yes?

| I did have a question, though. Was your fabric stretchy, or a cotton print? I have yet to make a pair of a knit, and I'm curious as to how well that would work out. | |

| it was a cotton print, very easy to work with
i dont think it would be to hard to use a knit.... but i could be wrong...they would be super comfy though!

| That's what I was thinking, and I have this really cute knit I got on clearance at work.. I may have to experiment with some before I cut into this stuff, it's just too fun. | |
