Skin's being shit.

For ages I've had horrible pimples around my mouth, pretty much concentrated on the right side, and they WON'T go away. What can I do? I've changed products, I've done everything....they just sit there and make me look fuggles. What can be done? What are your pimple killing techniques?

Ok. Are they pimples...or is the skin irritated and red? Dermatitis looks a lot like acne and occurs in the corners of the mouth and usually right under your nose. I just had an outbreak, and if it isnt going away it might be dermatitis...because that will not go away unless you go on antibiotics. It might get better, but it wont go all the way away.

Some are obvious pimples, whereas others are like, colourless little mini pimples? It's weird.

Extreme example...but does it look like that?

a little, yeah. The doctor said i had some sort of period induced dermatitis and he put me on minomycine, some antibiotic, but it's not doing shit.

Dermatitis usually gets worse before it gets better. I am currently on tetracycline...and mine is all gone. There is also a topical thing that I got...Ill get you the name of that later, but usually if you can get it to clear up it won't come back. But don't put anything on it that isnt perscribed unless its something like Cetaphil lotion, which is gentle. Some soaps can make it worse, so you might try a different face wash. But yeah, dermatitis sucks...and they don't even really know what it is or where it comes from.

A week or so ago I started using a Lush cleanser and a couple of days ago got the tea tree water too so I don't think my skin care regime is too harsh, though my previous one probably was- daily exfoliation. Oops.

Haha, Ive been seeing a dermatologist for 8 years...I guess I have picked up some interesting info.

But yeah, exfoliation will aggravate it. All I can say is until you can perhaps change your prescription don't put anything on it, just keep it clean. Especially don't use a steroid cream, that will make things worse.

Oh, the name of the topical stuff I use is called Protopic, and its super helpful. So if you can't change your antibiotic, at least try that. I noticed a difference after applying just once. If you can't get any, I have some samples I could send you.
