I need hair help! :(

So yesterday I got my hair colored to fix where my hair was lighter in the front from where the pink was. She put dark brown all over except the front and I thought she was doing just a shade darker in the front to fix it but it turned out JET BLACK! It looks horrible and I didn't want her to ruin it again so I kept my mouth shut.

I've scrubbed just the black part about 8 times with baby shampoo and scalding hot water and it still looks the same!

Would it be best to just bleach it and then put brown over it or what? I'm not going back to that salon and I don't have the money to go to another one right now so I need something I can just get from walmart. What should I dooo?!

If I were you ... I wouldn't immidiatly put bleach on it after it being dyed ...

Your hair looks healthy and that would ruin it ...

I would just wait a few weeks ... and if it hasn't faded by then ... and it still keeps on bugging you then I would bleach it and put brown on it ...

I know that my hair -after it being dyed- starts to fade after 2 weeks maximum ...

ahh, the horrors of black hair!

use head and shoulders for about a week or so and double wash your hair, make sure to condition, too.
then if that doesn't fade it to brown, try bleaching it. it'll probably turn it to a red-ish colour and be pretty dry, but it will be lighter. after a day or so, dye it brown.

I guess I'll just keep scrubbing the front part several times a day and I'll probably pick up some Head & Shoulders tomorrow.

I really hope I don't end up having to bleach since I do have pretty healthy EXCEPT that part is a little damaged from constant pink dye and plus I'm very OCD about straightening that part!

I would go to a professional if you want to bleach it. Black dye is almost impossible to get out. I had black hair at one point and wanted pink streaks, so I bleached them out and they just felt like straw. I ended up having to cut off about 2 inches.

Call the salon and complain to the manager, and see if someone there will fix it for free.

Well she runs the salon all herself so she's the only one there!

uh oh! Well, call her and tell her that the colour at the front of your hair is black, and doesn't match the rest of your head. See if she'll at least refund some of your money, or something.

And never, ever go to a one-person salon!

it should fade pretty soon, then maybe it would be easier to dye over.
ive had the "ohmygod my hair is black" scenario before, its not fun.

I've been going to her for about 7 years now and she's always done good before! Good news though, I saw some traces of brown back in it today!
