| AH... i'm going to a masquerade at the Met this thursday and i need to look fantastick!!!!( its a party to celebrate the opening of the oceanic mask exhibit) it's "evening attire." does that mean a long dress? and i need a mask!! i'm so excited but i don't want to look like i tried too hard, you know? lol. i don't want to be the most dressed up person there, but at the same time, i obviously can't look like i just threw on anything. any suggestions for dress styles?? i was thinking of going to bloomies, saks fifth ave or/and bergdorf, so between those stores they should have some dress that would be appropriate, right? |

| id go for like an evening dress, but not a ball gown type thing. its from a uk shop, but id say something like this as a dress example. i think those shops would definately have something that would work. depends on your price range but this is purdy this one actually looking at it again, its maybe a bit frumpy...depends what you wear it with. not too dressy but not too slutty or dressed down or some of the cocktail dresses are shorter and not as formal but still stunning, from saks anyway. depends on you really :] | |

| Nice dress at the top - cinched in waist is a good look. The Uni's Music Society are holding their annual Christmas ball this year, and they've also chosen to make it 'Masquerade' I bought a half mask online, as I looked around for one but just couldn't see anything to go with my dress or that wasn't halloween-themed, so I went to this website: http://www.venicemaskedball.co.uk/ I found a lovely silver half mask, (in fact it's on the home page, on the right, second one down, under 'Masquerade Half Masks) and they also do men's masks too. But it is a UK store so shipping would be longer! I did order mine before three pm on Thursday for first class post though and I got it the day after in a well packaged box Try here, they have nice masks too: http://mardigrascostumes.com/index.htm |

Check dollar stores and craft stores. My man got a great full face mask at Michael's for $5. | |

| If you can't get a decent mask you could always create one with makeup. Does that make sense? | |
