I think it's mostly because it's made outta cardboard/paper.
The idea of them sitting im my makeup bag and getting the corners bashed and dirty and euwww.

I love the whole vintagey style, but they could have totally done that blush in a little injection moulded plastic compact with real ribbon.

I love the packaging - best part about it, is that its recyclable!
that's the whole benefit thing - the cutesy boxes and designs.

and I'd just take the blush out of the box and put it in a pallete or something if I found it that irritating - but I make my own boxed palettes all of the time, and Ive never had a problem of spillage or opening in my bag at all!
