downloads

where do you guys download your music?

i usually use imesh but its a bit shit quite honestly.

there's a filesharing music community on livejournal I use and they have a huge list altho some of it has expired but it's a lot of albums so not always good for the odd song.

and I downloaded Audacity a few months ago which lets you record stuff, like from myspace where you cant download it or youtube videos or whatever...but it stopped working and I have NO CLUE why because I never fiddled with the settings.

So...what do you use? Reccomendations?
Anyone know any other recording things like audacity I could use? I don't wanna just search and download unless I have to so if you know any I could look for...SHARE!

I guess I'll download limewire...bleh but if it gets me the songs

ooh er i take it back...i got limewire and started on my list of songs and it's going very well so far!

I didn't like Limewire, but maybe it's better now. We have Shareaza, which totally sucks ass.

Usually I check out http://www.projectplaylist.com . When you search for the music, and stuff comes up, copy and past the link it's from into a new browser window, then go to "file" and "save page as".

I'm using www.piratebay.org at the moment, with Azureus as a bit torrent. its working well so far and ive heard no complaints about it.
unlike limewire and kazza..which are just asking for trouble..

Ive never had a prob with limewire really, I had it on my last comp for almost a year, and my new comp is fine so far. I use it, but if you dont pay attention to the titles and file type, you'll download something screwy with bill clinton, haha.

yeh my dad uses limewire and *touch wood* hasnt had a problem.

i download stuff with azeurus all the time, i just cant be arsed with it for a couple of songs.

haha, my parents really dont know how to get to the program on the comp, which is great; they'll screw it up. they know basic comp stuff, so they do basically what they want.

the last line is the URL where it comes from. Some will be complete URLs, and you can just copy them and paste them into the browser window, then go to "file" and "save page".

tho i have limewire which is working good!
but if im stuck for something!

and i couldnt tell you exactly what a bit torrent is...but i know you get a torrent from a site and open it in azureus and it downloads. yey!
