a shirt! so far, at least

I feel successful because this was without a pattern, and it's got sleeves, which I've never done even with a pattern. Yay me! It's not done yet, but maybe I'll finish today. It'll have a neckline, fluttery bell sleeves, and a skirt. The neckline and underparts of the sleeves and skirt will be an orange-y pink-y sheer fabric that has little white flower designs, and it'll be a good contrast to the blue. Sorry if the picture's huge..and the quality will suck because it was my phone.


I sent this picture to my mom and sister and Katie just went, 'It's a boob shot... ' And mom ranted for five minutes about why the neckline was so low. Ahh, family.

Awesome! What kind of fabric is it? I bought some stretch jersey from a market a few weeks ago and it's such a pain in the ass to hem, so I really need to go looking for some other fabrics...

I think it's a cotton/poly blend, but as I didn't buy it, I'm really not quite sure.. I clipped the seams and went over them with a zig-zag stitch, but I've yet to have to hem it. I really should finish this blasted thing..
